A Structured Cognitive Training Programme for Strong Thinkers

The Neuromath Thinking Gym Programme is a progressive cognitive training programme designed to strengthen how children think, process information, and solve problems. It is not tuition and does not follow the school syllabus. Instead, it focuses on core cognitive skills that support learning across all subjects.

Programme Structure at a Glance

Most P1–P3 children appear to be coping because the questions are simple, predictable, and memory-friendly.

But beneath the surface, many are quietly developing a memory-based foundation.

When P4 arrives, everything shifts:

The programme is organised into four specialised modules,

each with structured lessons, guided practice, and reflection activities.

The Thinking Gym Programme can be taken module by module, depending on your child’s needs and readiness.

Module 1: Logic Builders

Purpose: To develop logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and structured problem-solving.

What children will do:

Build foundational logic skills through graded logic card lessons

Learn to analyse patterns, rules, and relationships

Apply logic to classic problem types such as Magic Squares and Circles

Progress from guided examples to independent problem-solving

Key learning moments:

📌  A Cognitive Independent Thinking (CIT) Project, completed independently

📌  “Show and Tell” presentation to parents

📌  Final quiz to consolidate learning

Module 2: Flexi Builders

Purpose: To strengthen cognitive flexibility and adaptive thinking.

What children will do:

Learn to shift strategies and adjust thinking when conditions change

Practice substitution and balancing concepts through structured challenges

Apply multiple solution paths to the same problem

Key learning moments:

📌  Independent CIT Project and parent presentation

Module 3: Focus Builders

Purpose: To improve attention control, visual processing, and sustained focus.

What children will do:

Work through visual attention and accuracy-based challenges

Progress from simple to complex multi-step tasks

Practice selective attention, scanning, and task completion

Key learning moments:

Module 4: Spatial Builders

Purpose: To strengthen visual-spatial reasoning and spatial awareness, which are essential for understanding patterns, shapes, areas, and visual relationships.

What children will do:

Develop grid drawing and visual mapping skills through progressive challenges

Understand parts of figures, such as halves and fractions of shapes

Apply spatial reasoning to area and overlapped area problems

Interpret and solve multi-step visual challenges with increasing complexity

Key learning moments:

📌  Independent CIT Project focusing on spatial reasoning tasks
